"British elegance with superb White Star Service"

For more than 160 years, Cunard's liners have reigned the high seas. Cunard Line began when a Canadian businessman, Samuel Cunard, was awarded a contract to carry mail between Great Britain and North America by Her Majesty Queen Victoria. The contract was signed on May 4, 1839 and called for operation of three 800 ton steamships.

Cunard was the first company to take passengers on regularly scheduled transatlantic departures. Today Cunard Line remains the only cruise line to sail regularly scheduled transatlantic service year-round between Southampton and New York with the Queen Mary 2 (QM2).

Cunard's liners attract those who love the sea and relish traditional elegance. The clientele includes World Cruise guests, who are typically well-traveled and have the leisure to indulge in season-long sojourns to exotic realms aboard Queen Elizabeth 2. With the introduction of the Queen Victoria, three Queens will sail under the Cunard Line banner for the first time in history.

Cunard Line is a member of the exclusive World's Leading Cruise Lines (WLCL) alliance which also includes Carnival Cruise Lines, Holland America Line, Princess Cruises, Seabourn Cruise Line, and Costa Cruises. Past guests who have cruised on any WLCL member line are entitled to certain past-guest savings offered by any of the member lines.
